Texture in Florence
This week, share a texture found in an unexpected place. It could be made of natural materials, as in these images, or with man-made objects.
The photo shows the first out of three courtyards in the beautiful Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
It was designed in 1453 by Michelozzo with white and gilded stucco work. The frescoes on the walls were painted in 1565 and represent scenes of the Austrian Habsburg estates.
