Weekly Photo Challenge – Nighttime in Saigon
What nocturnal photos do you like taking? Whether it’s a starry sky, a street lamp, or the shadows cast by your cat, share them with us. As every owl (and night owl) knows, nighttime is when the real action starts.
This year I visited Vietnam for the very first time, Ho Chi Minh City to be specific (though I do prefer its former name Saigon). I expected the city to look dull, dirty and with lots of ugly Soviet architecture. Instead we found ourselves midst beautiful French Colonial style buildings, buzzing markets and modern skyscrapers. We were treated to a stunning light show every night by these high-rises thanks to our Airbnb apartment. It is located near Bui Vien (the notorious backpacker mecca in District 1) and being on the 15th floor we admired the views from the two large balconies.
