Street art in Florence

Today, capture an establishing shot of a street scene in your neighborhood — or someplace new.

I have to admit that today’s assignment wasn’t that easy for me. Street photography is definitely not my thing. I find it difficult to find something that stands out – something that makes the photo special. Also, I don’t like taking photos of people. I find it rude if someone includes me in their shot without asking, so I don’t do it to other people.

The only time when I shoot street scenes is on holiday. Most of them just happened by accident actually, especially in Thailand or Vietnam where you often cannot avoid taking photos of large crowds pretty much anywhere in the city!

Today I’m sharing a photo of a street artist in Florence. I love the movement in this shot – from the people walking buy, glancing at the chalk painting to the artist who is extremely focussed on his masterpiece.
